Compare the file size of the source and target location after downloading or uploading a file using ZS Secure FTP Task (SFTP, FTP, FTPS)

In this post, you will learn to compare the file size of the source and target location after downloading or uploading a file using ZS Secure FTP Task (SFTP, FTP, FTPS).

Using "ZS Advanced File System Task" and "ZS Secure FTP Task (SFTP, FTP, FTPS)" we can get the file size of the Source and Target location and have it in variable and compare it as below.

Step 1: Get the source local system file size using Advanced File System Task (Highlighted): -
 1. Action dropdown select Get file(s) size option.
 2. Give the source File path.
 3. Create Result Variable to store file size.

Step 2: - Get the FTP/SFTP file size using "Secure FTP Task":
  1. Storage action needs to be selected as"Get FTP File size".
  2. Select the appropriate FTP connection.
  3. Select the file path.
  4. Create the Result Variable.

Step 3: Validate the SSIS variables using Validation Task as below:
  1. Select Validation Action as "Check SSIS expression (true or false)".
  2. Set up the Expression.
  3. Select the appropriate Operator.
