407 Proxy Authentication Required

Problem:

If you are trying to call API or trying to activate a license then you may get the following error in some cases

407 Proxy Authentication Required

Solution: 

For API Call

1. If you get an error during an API call from REST API Task / JSON Source or other tasks/components then try to set Proxy Settings 

For HTTP / OAuth go to connection manager and enabled Proxy

2. If you have set PackageProtectionLevel to DoNotSaveSensitive

SSIS Runtime Connection Error when PackageProtectionLevel set to DoNotSaveSensitive

You need to parameterize an SSIS Connection Manager, please refer to the below link for the same.

For License Activation

Try to activate the license by setting Proxy information the following way.

1. Open License Manager
2. Go to Advanced Settings Tabs
3. Check Use Custom Proxy Settings
4. Go back to General Tab >> Click Activate New License
5. If you still get an error about 407 Proxy Authentication Required means the URL is not auto-detected. In that case, you have to specify the exact Proxy URL (e.g. http://yourproxyserver[:port] )

If the problem continues then contact us for offline activation. Send license key and machine hash code to obtain offline license code.
